Having graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Baylor where he currently holds the role of Professor, Thomas Biggs is one of the most respected surgeons internationally. Invited to all major plastic surgery conference around the world, he is primarily the author of more than 30 medical journals, as well as being faculty member, moderator, guest professor, and chairman of scientific programs in many surgery organizations not only in the United States but also internationally. He is also the former President of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Society of Plastic Surgeons Houston.

After many years of studies abroad, Dr. Poell established his clinic in St. Gallen (Switzerland). Internationally renowned, Dr. Poell is a prominent member and is particularly demanded from international organizations. An active member of many international associations (ESPRAS, IPRAS, CEN, ISO etc..) he was also the President of the Swiss Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SSCPRE) from 1999 to 2000 and President of IQUAM (The International Committee for Quality Assurance, Medical Technologies and Devices in Plastic Surgery) from 2001 to 2007. Today, he is the President Elect of the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) until 2010, date at which he will take over the presidency until 2012.

Professor Yves-Gérard Illouz

International Professor of Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), Professor Yves-Gerard Illouz is one of the architects of modern surgery to whom we owe the technique of liposuction. Active member of numerous associations including the Academy of Sciences of New York, Professor Illouz has obtained several awards including the Medal of Vermeil in Paris. He is a founding member of “Medecins Sans Frontieres”, the founder and chairman of the American Society of Body Contouring and Lipoplasty, the founder and former President of the S.O.F.C.E.P. (Société Française des Chirurgiens Plasticiens Esthéticiens) and an expert in the Court of Appeal of Paris. Dr Illouz now focuses exclusively on teaching and research. He created a foundation whose first initiative is the ILLOUZ PRIZE awarded each year to the best scientific work on fat and fat cells.
