I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to Dr. Broadway and his patient coordinator, Karen. OUTSTANDING professionals, both of them. Dr. Broadway took the time to educate me on everything about the implants AND added extra measurements that were never done at my previous consultations. The plastic surgeon at my previous consultation (The Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Golden, CO) rushed my entire consultation like it was a McDonald’s drive through; she never educated me on implant sizing and complications of each brand, even when I requested her clinical expertise and professional feedback. She simply filled out the paperwork and handed it to her patient coordinator. I wanted a full “C” bra size and asked the surgeon how many “cc” would satisfy this and she and her patient coordinator allowed me to put down 350 cc which would have put me at a full “D”! I had no idea as I was naive to the whole process and wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for Dr. Broadway and his team. Ladies, if you’re feeling rushed during a consultation or any procedure, opt out. It’s important to recognize that this is NOT a medical professional practicing patient advocacy and a mere attempt to maximize profit by minimizing time. Unfortunately, many outpatient specialties in the medical field have adopted this capitalistic model of medicine. But Dr. Broadway and his team repudiate this model and it was evident in their consultation. Also, did I forget to mention his bedside manner? His care and empathy was palpable the moment he walked into my room. Karen, his patient coordinator, was an exuberant character. She took the time to guide me through the Crisalix virtual tool to ensure I would be satisfied with my decision. The previous consultation I had didn’t even offer their virtualization and I opted out of using them for this reason! If it weren’t for Crisalix and Karen walking me through what to expect, I would have ended up incredibly dissatisfied with my results.
