Dr.Andrews answered all of my questions and provided examples and analogies that I appreciated. I had a lot of questions despite a healthcare background. I have followed his website and social media platforms for one year to learn more about Dr.Andrews and observe patient outcomes. I underwent 3 procedures. In hindsight maybe I should have separated the procedures due to the pain and the limitations post-op. However, I’m now happy that I was under anesthesia once verses a second time. My pain threshold is high, but post-op days 1-3 I was suffering and I underestimated my procedures. Dr. Andrews immediately changed my pain regimen and set me up with the ReCenter to receive an IV infusion of Toradol and Zofran on post-op day 2. My pre-op visits were thorough and the nurse and nurse practitioner were very kind and knowledgeable. The nurse practitioner was kind enough to share her personal experiences with me. By her sharing her stories, I felt that I too could undergo my procedures and be okay. Everyone from the beginning of my journey was so helpful and those behind the social media platforms were quick to reply and even replied on weekends! Once my pain was under control and I was walking around more, I figured out very quickly some items that came in handy: a body pillow for comfort and support, a reacher to help grab items when I was alone, body cleansing wipes for sponge baths, a small Tupperware bowl nearby and full of easy to open snacks, throat lozenges (sore throat from the ET tube), mints, and all of my medications. One very important medication that I forgot was stool softeners/laxatives. I didn’t believe I’d have an issue with constipation due to opioid use, but by day 6 I knew it was time for Colace. I have a follow-up on post-op day 9 and I’m praying for good news and outcomes. I would highly recommend contacting Dr.Andrews’ team if you are considering having a procedure done. Dr.Andrews and his staff were nothing short of amazing. Getting work done on things that have made us self conscious for soooo many years, makes us very vulnerable. Every single encounter with Dr. Andrews was professional and comfortable. From the 1st consultation to the day of surgery. He called that evening and made sure things were well and I was ok too. I have much love and respect for everyone there! His nurses are great, his surgical team was a well oiled machine, and his anesthesiologist…….hands down, the most comforting person around. I have more work I want to get done in the near future and I already know where I will be going! Thank you Dr.Andrews and team for being amazing!!
