Dr. Shawn is a member of local, state and national medical societies, and as one of the preeminent plastic surgeons of the Southeast, he is known for his sincere doctor-patient connection and natural-looking surgical results. Yearly, he returns to University of Virginia to educate residents-in-training on breast surgical techniques as a visiting professor of plastic surgery. He is on staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospital and Pelham Medical Center.
