With Crisalix as part of his consultation process, Dr. Hoyos has made full body simulation more accessible, helping patients better understand complex body contouring procedures while improving planning, communication, and decision making.
Why did I choose to use Crisalix?
I wanted a more advanced and comprehensive way to simulate surgical results, not only for breast procedures but also for full-body transformations. In my practice, I focus heavily on body contouring and high-definition results, so it was important for me to have a tool that could go beyond localized simulations and provide a complete visualization of the patient's body.
Traditional simulation methods and scanning technologies were often limiting. They required specific equipment, were not always practical in every situation, and did not offer the level of flexibility I was looking for. I wanted a solution that could deliver high-definition simulations while also being simple, accessible, and adaptable to different types of patients and procedures.

Full-body simulations were more complex and less efficient, often requiring dedicated scanning systems that added time and logistical challenges to the consultation process.
This made it difficult to consistently offer full-body visualization to all patients, particularly those interested in body contouring or post weight loss procedures. As a result, consultations often relied on partial simulations or verbal explanations, which did not always provide a complete understanding of the expected outcome.
Additionally, patients were less involved in the process before the consultation, which limited early engagement and preparation.
How is Crisalix integrated in consultations
With Crisalix, and especially with the Simone technology, the workflow has become significantly more efficient. Patients can take their own photos at home by following simple instructions and upload them directly to the platform.
From these images, we are able to generate accurate body measurements and volumetric data, which are essential for planning and evaluation. This allows us to create high-definition, full-body simulations without the need for complex scanning equipment.
During the consultation, I can review these simulations with the patient, explore different options, and plan procedures in a very visual and interactive way. This approach makes the process more scalable and allows for better preparation even before the patient enters the clinic.
