My consultant and subsequent pre-op appointment with Dr. Killeen and her PA and office staff were all extremely positive and thorough. I feel I was given all the necessary information to set me up for a successful procedure and substantial information was given on what to expect during and following surgery. Everyone I encountered was polite, friendly and very reassuring/patient with my questions. I could not have asked for a better experience. The Crisalix images were also extremely helpful. Really appreciate the feature that shows what the projected result of the procedure.

Dr. Killeen and her medical staff is tremendously knowledgeable, caring, patient, and reassuring. I have felt so supported in all of my worries and concerns going into the surgery and have complete confidence in and pride that Dr. Killeen will be my surgeon. She is realistic with what to expect and gives great advice on what will be best for you. The 3D scans available were also huge in building certainty with my decision and being excited in imagining my results.

I originally found Dr. Killeen on TikTok, her videos were so informative and made me feel confident that she really knew her craft. When I had my initial consultation, I loved working with Polina and meeting Dr. Killeen in person. That consult was incredibly educational, and I left feeling sure I’d made the right choice. One of the main reasons I chose her was because of her extensive experience and expertise in both revision and reconstructive surgery. On top of that, she has such a warm and confident personality, she’s straightforward, kind, and made me feel instantly at ease during my consult. I wanted a surgeon who not only had the technical skill to handle anything, even a potential revision, but also someone I felt genuinely comfortable with. That said, while I think Dr. Killeen is a talented surgeon and my results turned out beautifully, my overall experience with her office unfortunately didn’t match the level of care I expected. The main issues came down to communication, misinformation, and overall organization. To give context: I’m an out-of-state patient. During my consult, I asked the person helping with the Vectra + sizing if I had to make a decision that day regarding the size. She told me no, and that I could choose my implant size at my pre-op appointment (which, for me, was scheduled the same day as surgery). A few weeks later during my virtual phone call with Yiwei, I was told the complete opposite...that I needed to decide on an exact size ahead of time so the implants could be ordered in advance, especially since I was doing the Preservé procedure. I was told there would be no trial sizing during surgery, which caused a lot of last-minute panic on my end. Thankfully, Dr. Killeen had taken photos of my Crisalix simulations during my consult, so I was able to refer back to those for sizing. But I really wish I had been told to take photos myself or that the process had been explained more clearly from the start.. as a first-time patient, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Because of that miscommunication, I missed the chance to come in and re-try sizing before surgery, which would have helped me feel more confident in my final decision. Then there were several inconsistencies leading up to the procedure: • I was told by Yiwei that both hydrocodone and Jourvanx would be ordered and delivered to the surgery center. Only Jourvanx was ordered. • I was told anesthesia doctor would call me the night before surgery — they never did. • When I reached out to confirm, I was reassured again that I’d get the call, but it never happened. It wasn’t until the morning of surgery that Shireen called and claimed she had called me the night before but my call logs showed no missed calls from their office or her secured line. When I arrived at the surgery center, the nurse asked why I hadn’t followed pre-op instructions about not drinking water prior surgery, I had to explain to her that I never got a call from the anesthesia Dr. Turns out, I wasn’t even on the anesthesia Dr call list. As a patient about to undergo a scheduled surgery, that was really concerning to hear... There was also a lack of clear information around the Preservé procedure itself. None of my pre-op paperwork, contracts, or recovery guides mentioned anything specific about Preservé or how the recovery differs. I had to rely on messaging the office repeatedly to get answers. Even advice was inconsistent depending on who I talked too..for example, Yiwei told me I didn’t need to sleep elevated after surgery, but Shireen later told me that I should. As for the post-op care, the results are beautiful, and I’m happy with how I look. But the 1-day and 1-week follow-ups felt unnecessary given I’m an out-of-town patient. My one-day appointment lasted under five minutes and I didn’t even see Dr. Killeen despite the paperwork saying I would. My 1 week follow up took an hr drive each way for what ended up being a 2 min visit with Dr Killeen. If I didn’t ask specific questions, there wasn’t much guidance provided. I would have appreciated more proactive information like an explanation of what to expect with the “drop & fluff” timeline specific to Preservé... Luckily, Dr. Killeen continues to make great educational TikToks, which I still watch and truly appreciate.. I just wish that same level of helpful information was reflected in the patient experience and communication within her office. Overall, I think Dr. Killeen is a highly skilled surgeon who delivers beautiful results, but the experience with her team and the communication throughout the process fell short. As her patient, I expected a bit more attentiveness and clarity, especially for a surgery of this nature. I’m happy with my outcome, but the process getting there was unnecessarily stressful, and I hope her office improves how they support and communicate with patients moving forward.
