Replacing approximation with clarity

Using Crisalix throughout his consultation process, Dr. Trovato has replaced less accurate traditional methods with realistic 3D simulation, helping patients better understand implant choices and expected outcomes while improving confidence, communication, and efficiency.

Why did I start with Crisalix?

I started using Crisalix because I was looking for a more accurate and predictable way to show patients what their results would look like before surgery. In my practice, one of the most common questions I receive is about implant size, type, and overall outcome. Patients want to understand exactly how they will look, and I wanted to provide a solution that could answer that question in a clear and reliable way.

Traditional explanations were not enough, and I needed a tool that could visually demonstrate outcomes with a high level of precision. My goal was to improve patient understanding while also increasing confidence in the treatment plan.

What was the situation before Crisalix?

We used to rely on more traditional methods, such as bras filled with different implant sizers to simulate results. While this approach gave a general idea, it was often inaccurate and not very representative of the final outcome.

Patients frequently found it difficult to interpret what they were seeing. The experience could feel artificial, and there was always a gap between the simulation and what the actual surgical result would be.

This often led to confusion, additional questions, and sometimes hesitation in moving forward. It also required more time during consultations, as we needed to repeatedly explain and adjust expectations without a truly reliable visual reference.

How do I use Crisalix?

With Crisalix, the process is completely different. We use 3D simulations based on the patient's own body to create a realistic preview of the results. During the consultation, I can show different implant sizes, shapes, projections, and styles in real time.

Patients can see exactly how each option affects their appearance, which makes the discussion much more interactive. Instead of imagining the result, they can visualize it directly on themselves.

This allows me to guide them through the decision-making process more effectively, ensuring that their preferences align with what is safe and achievable from a surgical standpoint.

Results with Crisalix

The results have been extremely positive. The simulations are highly accurate—often very close to the actual postoperative outcome—which builds a strong level of trust with patients.

Patients feel more confident in their decisions because they have a clear understanding of what to expect. This reduces uncertainty and leads to smoother consultations.

Additionally, the process is more efficient, as many questions are answered visually rather than through repeated explanations. Overall, it improves both the quality of communication and the patient experience.

“Crisalix is an essential part of the consultation process”

I would say that this technology represents a significant advancement compared to traditional methods. The level of accuracy, interactivity, and realism it provides makes a real difference in how patients understand their procedures.

It not only improves communication but also increases patient confidence and satisfaction. Once you start using it, it becomes an essential part of your consultation process.
